Volume
Chaikin Money Flow (CMF)
CMF measures buying and selling pressure over 20 candles, using where each close sits in its range and the volume.
How to read it
- Above zero = buying pressure; below zero = selling pressure.
- Readings above +0.1 or below −0.1 are stronger.
- Use it to confirm breakouts.
Settings
Default 20.
Example rule to test
Check idea: a breakout with CMF above zero is better supported than one with CMF below zero.
Common mistake
Reading tiny moves around zero as signals.
