What is paper trading?
Paper trading means placing buy and sell orders with virtual money instead of real money. Prices, charts and order types behave like the real market, so you learn how orders, stop-losses, margin and charges work before you risk a single rupee.
What you can practice on iTradeChart
Delivery and intraday trades in NSE / BSE shares, short selling, futures, option buying and option selling with margin, market, limit and stop-loss orders, bracket orders (stop-loss + target together), GTT and trailing stop-loss. Realistic charges (brokerage, STT, GST, stamp duty) are deducted on every order, and intraday positions are squared off at 3:20 PM like a real broker.
Track your progress

When the market is closed

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Paper trading, charts, the scanner, backtests and lessons are free. An optional Pro plan adds longer backtests, more scans and higher limits.
Do I need a broker or Demat account?
No. You can start without any account. Creating a free username or Google login only saves your progress across devices.
Can I win real money?
No. All money is virtual and there are no cash prizes. It is meant for learning and practice.
Can I practice options and futures?
Yes. You can buy and sell options of NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, SENSEX, BANKEX and F&O stocks, and trade futures, with margin calculated like a broker.
